Location: CBHI Main Office is located in Chicopee, MA. We are hiring staff willing to travel/work with clients in the Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties!
Position Summary:
The Therapeutic Training & Support Staff at River Valley Counseling Center (RVCC) delivers in-home, community-based therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and families. This role focuses on skill-building, behavior management, care coordination, and supporting clinical treatment plans through direct services, referrals, and crisis intervention. The TT&S works collaboratively with clinicians, maintains timely and accurate documentation, and demonstrates cultural competence while helping families access needed resources.
We are continuously seeking qualified TT&S providers to support our expanding CBHI programs. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis to ensure timely consideration.
We are looking for individuals who are committed to helping youth and families build skills that promote long-term success. Afternoon and evening availability is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- To support all aspects of RVCC’s Mission statement & clientele
- Provide high-quality in-home therapeutic training and support services to children/adolescents and their families
- Provide in-home services (home, clinic and community settings) to youth/family at least twice per week or as clinically indicated
- Assist youth and family in obtaining/maintaining linkages with outpatient treatment by assisting with attending OP appointments
- Provide care coordination and referrals to services and agencies as appropriate
- Support parent and youth skill-building, mentoring and behavior management training as part of the treatment plan
- Provide client transportation as needed to address care coordination and treatment needs
- Maintain a direct service productivity of 70% of available time
- Write progress notes written in manner that reflects progress being made toward treatment goals and submit progress notes within 24 hours of service delivery
- Support clinician with intake paperwork, Safety Plan and discharge planning
- Attend in-services or meetings as assigned or directed.
- Education: Associate’s degree in a related field
- Experience: At least one year of experience in the human service field, skilled in parenting education and experience working with children and families, broad knowledge of mental illness diagnoses, behavioral modification techniques/coping mechanisms and familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children, families, and diverse populations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Proficiency with basic technology, including email, internet navigation, and documentation systems
- Understanding of developmental needs across the lifespan of the populations served
- Familiarity with legal and ethical standards within the human services field
- Experience working with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds

Summary of Benefits:
- Salary Range: $19.25 - $25.25
- Based on years of experience, level of education, specialty and licensure/certifications. Additional compensation for advanced education for qualifying positions.
