Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Great Barrington, MA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active MA RN license in hand.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital emergency department setting designated as a Massachusetts DPH Primary Stroke Center
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• ED Triage and Cardiac Room experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand prior to consideration
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required
• Must have own personal vehicle
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
• IV Certification preferred
• ENPC and CEN certifications preferred
• BSN preferred
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• ED Skills Checklist current within the past year required

Additional Information

• Functions independently under general guidance, applying critical thinking, time management, communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills in an emergency care setting
• Must maintain emotional stability and composure in high-acuity emergency situations
• Personal scrubs of any color accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no more than 5 days of RTO will be approved, and requests made after an offer is extended may result in a rescinded offer
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 2 years of current ED experience is required
