Staff Accountant

The position of Staff Accountant will help in a variety of functions within SharkNinja. This will include preparing journal entries, summarizing results, general ledger analysis, and completing account reconciliations. This role will focus on both operating and capital expenses. This person will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong accounting processes and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP. The position will provide the opportunity to learn how high growth business models operate, all while obtaining substantial guidance, feedback, and mentoring from a Accounting team with private and public accounting experience.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing general ledger entries, maintaining records and files, and reconciling accounts
  • Capitalizes and records fixed assets in Oracle in accordance with accounting policies, including complex areas Cloud Computing and Internally Developed assets
  • Primary focus on areas such as fixed assets, research & development (such as consumer insights + product development), and operations
  • Learning and enhancing our current accounting procedures
  • Answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Collaborating with internal and external business partners to resolve transactional issues
  • Acting as liaison between Finance and other departments
  • Supporting and maintaining strong internal control policies and procedures and external audits
  • Providing accounting support to other business units for special projects/ad-hoc reporting and analysis, as necessary

Required experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required, CPA preferred but not required
  • 1+ year of public or industry-specific accounting experience
  • Familiarity with Oracle GL and Oracle Fixed Asset Module a plus
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented with proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • High degree of business acumen and emotional intelligence
  • Team player with ability to effectively and efficiently work cross-functionally

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Pay Range

$58,400-$93,000 USD
