Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III – Contract Opportunity
Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts 02601
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Cardiology Diagnostic Technician III for a contract opportunity in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong phlebotomy and EKG experience who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection procedures accurately and efficiently
- Conduct non-invasive cardiology testing including EKGs, Holter monitoring, and stress testing
- Verify patient identity and explain testing and specimen collection procedures
- Transport specimens to the laboratory while ensuring proper documentation
- Complete cardiac test ordering and billing information accurately
- Maintain patient information within hospital documentation systems
- Support nursing and clinical staff with specimen collection needs
- Troubleshoot specimen collection issues and assist with service recovery when needed
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary testing/work areas
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and report shortages
- Assist with training and mentoring staff and students as needed
- Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service in a team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Phlebotomy Certification (PBT) required
- EKG Certification required
- Current BLS Certification required
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
