We’re seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to advanced periodontal care while building meaningful relationships with patients and collaborating with a skilled and supportive team.

About Western Mass Periodontics
Our practices are equipped with 5 operatories in Pittsfield and 3 operatories in Great Barrington, designed to provide personalized care in a comfortable setting. From advanced periodontal procedures to dental implant services, we are dedicated to creating custom treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for hygiene procedures with warmth and professionalism
- Perform scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments to support optimal periodontal health
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Conduct head, neck, and oral cancer exams
- Identify periodontal needs and collaborate with the dentist to provide exceptional care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace
- Note: This role does not include capturing and interpreting x-rays
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program
- Licenses: Active MA state dental hygiene license and CPR certification
- Experience: 1+ year preferred, but new graduates are welcome!
- Skills: Certification in anesthesia and proficiency in scaling and root planing (SRP) are a plus
Schedule
- Monday-Thursday: 8AM-5PM
