Job Description Summary: Draper’s Business Winning (BW) team is seeking a highly motivated intern with an interest in the development and implementation of capture and proposal processes. Relevant experience with business processes is desirable. Hands-on experience in project development, research-related projects and management is a plus. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to learn and support business development, capture, proposal development, and other business topics. The ideal candidate has excellent written and oral communication skills and data analysis skills, and is independently motivated to engage colleagues, explore new ideas, and contribute insights in a team-centered environment. This summer intern position is based in Cambridge, MA. Conduct research for BW-related topics as assigned by the Business Winning Vice President and Operations Lead. Develop and present findings / recommendations related to BW-assigned research and projects Participate in BW-related meetings Assist BW in mentoring Draper staff on capture and proposal processes Provide administrative support as required Complete Draper onboarding processes, NDAs, training, etc. as required Coordinate and collaborate with Draper functions / personnel to complete assigned projects Complete assignments designed to develop a practical knowledge of processes, procedures, and facilities that contribute to successful capture and proposal efforts as well as their interrelationships within the BW portfolio. Duties/Responsibilities Job Description:- Co-op will rotate working between multiple groups within Department to ensure a base knowledge set is experienced for comprehensive professional development.
- Provide assistance to a team, including, but not limited to, clerical duties, processing paperwork, customer service or performing data entry.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s / master’s degree program.
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.
- Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
There is flexibility regarding hours and program duration based on applicant’s school schedule and availability.
This position can be partially hybrid remote, however being in the office, when appropriate, is an important part of this experience. Additional Job Description: Student must be enrolled in a full-time accredited degree program during the duration of the internship. Major should be related to Business, User Research, Data Analytics, Operations Research, or other business process-related field. This is not an engineering applications position. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
