Our client in Williamstown, Massachusetts is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and dependable professional who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and assist with account reconciliations
- Prepare and enter invoices, payments, and journal entries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounting transactions
- Support payroll processing and other administrative accounting tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
