Feldspar & Flint LLC is a NYC metro-based Talent Consulting firm that specializes in operational strategy across core business functions.

Our client is looking for a Fund Accountant to provide specialized accounting support for commingled investment portfolios, ensuring accurate and timely execution of net asset value (NAV) processes. This role involves managing transactions, capital stock, expenses, corporate actions, and cash, while leveraging fund accounting technology to maintain quality standards. Fund Accountants serve as key contacts for derivative valuation inquiries and play a critical role in issue resolution, risk management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily NAV processes, including transactions, capital stock, expenses, corporate actions, and cash handling.
• Act as primary contact for derivative valuation inquiries; verify data and escalate issues as needed.
• Monitor daily volume and ensure output meets quality and timeliness standards.
• Research and resolve breaks, follow up on open inquiries, and communicate professionally to minimize risk.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and support client servicing.
• Prepare and contribute to management reporting (e.g., Clarity, PVCs, past dues, cash breaks, R&A analysis).
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement efficiencies to enhance productivity.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects under time constraints, meeting deadlines and departmental requirements.
• Adhere to firm policies and risk controls, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

 Qualifications

• Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work U.S. holidays and overtime as needed.
