Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Associate in Cambridge, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will remain a visible presence, support access control and badging processes, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and staff while documenting activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying management and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor building access points, elevators, and loading or receiving areas, verifying credentials and directing guests and deliveries per post orders.
• Complete shift activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client representative.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
