Job Overview: Responsible for providing high-quality breakfast dining experience by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, maintaining menu knowledge and ensuring guest satisfaction Must build lasting relationships with guests while delivering exceptional customer service. Summary: The Breakfast Server at Margaritaville plays a crucial role in providing excellence in customer service and high-quality food and beverages to our guests. Responsibilities include taking and delivering orders promptly and accurately from the kitchen to customer tables, ensuring a seamless dining experience. This is a fast-paced role and requires strong communication with kitchen and wait-staff, and assisting others in meticulous attention to order accuracy, maintaining table cleanliness, and ensuring food presentation and steps of service that meet Margaritaville Resort Cape Cod, brand standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Guest Service : Greets guests, answers questions about the menu, and provide recommendations to enhance customer dining experience
- Order taking & delivery : Accurately take orders and deliver food & beverages to tables in a timely matter.
- Food delivery: Accurately and quickly deliver complete food order from the kitchen to the correct customer table and bar area.
- Food & Beverage knowledge : Possesses a comprehensive understanding of all food and beverage items to guide guests and answer questions effectively.
- Order Accuracy: Verify orders match food tickets, double-check food presentation and temperature, and garnish as needed.
- Table Maintenance: Clear used plates, utensils, and glassware from tables, and reset them for new guests.
- Point of Sale (POS) System: Efficiently operate the POS system to process orders and payments, handling cash and following proper cash-handling procedures.
- Opening and Closing Duties:
- Support: Act as a key link between the kitchen and waitstaff, facilitating smooth communication and operations.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Adhere to proper food safety and sanitation standards, maintain a clean workspace, and report any unsafe conditions.
- Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer-facing support and ensure guests leave satisfied.
- Efficiency: Work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment to prevent service bottlenecks.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulously check orders and maintain the presentation and quality of food.
- Communication: Exceptional communication, deep food and beverage knowledge. Clearly communicate with the chef, culinary team, and waitstaff with an impeccable attention to details, and excellent customer service with a strong sense of etiquette and professionalism.
- Education and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of experience in restaurants demonstrating success in demanding, fast-paced settings.
