Test Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Test Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Waltham, MA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on electro-mechanical assembly, calibration, testing, and working with high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing and R&D environment.

The Test Technician will join a collaborative production team that values accuracy, safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities

- Perform electro-mechanical assembly functions on analyzers and related devices.
- Calibrate electronic devices according to customer orders and documented procedures.
- Use hand tools, test equipment, and standardized work instructions to ensure product quality.
- Complete work orders on schedule while meeting standard production times.
- Accurately record labor time and work order activity in the MRP system.
- Follow environmental, health, safety, quality, and nonconforming material reporting procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $23 to $24 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Location: Waltham, MA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform electro-mechanical assembly and testing of analyzers.
- Calibrate electronic devices based on customer requirements.
- Follow documented procedures to support quality and production standards.
- Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 6S workplace standards.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Typically requires 1 to 2 years of related experience.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools and test devices.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to enter information into production or MRP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed work instructions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision once trained.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality in accordance with company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, calibration, testing, or quality-focused production work.
- Familiarity with MRP systems, work orders, nonconforming material reporting, or 6S practices.
