Brief Overview of type of faculty position we are seeking: The Biology Department of the School of Sciences and Health Professions at Simmons University is seeking applicants for an adjunct instructor position in the Biology Department to teach Biol 221 - Microbiology effective January 13th, 2026, and end May 18, 2026. Course Description Biol 221 Microbiology introduces the biology of microorganisms: bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Stresses control of microbial populations, systematic study, and use of quantitative methods. Primarily for Biology majors. Responsibilities : The adjunct instructor will be responsible for lecturing and leading in class discussions on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Biol 221 from 2:00PM to 3:20PM. Requirements : Master's or Ph.D. degree, experience teaching Biology courses. Preferred Qualifications : experience teaching Microbiology.
