Locum CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist) Anesthesiology
Description
This entry-level, contract position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or those new to the field to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
As a Locum CRNA, you will play a crucial role in providing anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process. This position is perfect for those eager to develop their skills and make a meaningful impact in the healthcare field.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care
- Evaluate patients' medical histories and prepare anesthesia plans
- Provide post-anesthesia care and assess patients' recovery
- Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures
- Maintain accurate records of anesthesia administration and patient responses
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in anesthesia care
Requirements
- Active Nurse Anesthetist license in the state of practice
- Completion of a Nurse Anesthesia program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic understanding of anesthesia techniques and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a clinical setting
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
Schedule: 8 or 10-hour shifts
No call or weekend shifts
6-7 main ORs, 5-room endo center, 4 ORs at surgical center
Cases: General, robotics, GYN, urology, ENT, healthy pediatrics, hips & knees, neurology
Medical direction
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
