Physical Therapy Assistant Job Details

• Location: Norwood, Massachusetts 02062
• Assignment Type: Travel Physical Therapy Assistant
• Healthcare Setting: Rehabilitation Facility
• Start Date: July 30, 2025
• End Date: October 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday – Friday, Days
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1170-$1200

PTA Job Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PTA in a rehabilitation or clinical healthcare setting
• Current certification in Rehabilitation Therapy
• Ability to provide 3 professional references
• Successful completion of background checks and drug screening
• Physical exam and TB screening (1 Step PPD or Quantiferon, or proof of positive PPD and chest X-ray)

Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery
• Deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to improve patient mobility, strength, and function
• Accurately document patient progress and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and techniques to support ongoing recovery
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive rehabilitation environment for all patients
