Job Summary

Join a leading financial services company as a Business Analyst supporting Protection New Business and Underwriting teams through platform modernization initiatives. You’ll play a key role in translating complex business needs into actionable system requirements, supporting process optimization, and ensuring high-quality delivery across underwriting technologies. This role requires exceptional analytical, documentation, and collaboration skills within a dynamic, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Underwriting and cross-functional teams to align business and technical requirements.

• Document business requirements , process flows, and technical specifications.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate business rule configurations.

• Analyze end-to-end processes to ensure system connectivity and workflow efficiency .

• Collaborate with Product Managers to translate customer and employee needs into prioritized business outcomes.

• Maintain awareness of new vendor features and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement.

• Prepare business documentation supporting roadmap alignment and feature prioritization.

• Apply change management principles to ensure launch readiness and adoption.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across multiple business domains.

• Independently lead complex, divisional, and cross-functional projects requiring strong problem-solving skills.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of business analysis experience supporting large-scale technical projects.

• Proven background in Underwriting systems or related insurance platforms.

• Strong understanding of both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks.

• Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering and documentation for complex systems.

• Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Technology, or related field).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with life insurance underwriting or financial services environments.

• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.

• Exposure to customer and user experience (CX/UX) practices.

• Ability to think strategically while managing detailed process documentation.

• Strong adaptability and stakeholder management skills in changing business conditions.
