More about our team

At Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts, a dedicated team of healthcare professionals from multiple disciplines collaborates to create personalized treatment plans for each patient. As a critical care hospital, we specialize in caring for individuals with complex medical conditions who require extended recovery in a hospital setting. Our patients often face critical or chronic illnesses that demand specialized, long-term care. We pride ourselves on being both patient-centered and family-friendly, encouraging active participation from patients and their loved ones throughout the recovery process. Our team takes the time to get to know each patient personally, tailoring treatment programs to match their unique goals, abilities, and needs. Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts is proud to hold The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital Accreditation, recognizing our commitment to continuous quality and performance standards.

How you'll contribute

A dedicated and licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans developed by a supervising Physical Therapist. This role involves applying appropriate therapeutic modalities, monitoring patient responses, and providing timely updates on progress or needed adjustments to treatment goals. The PTA documents all services rendered and educates patients and their families or caregivers about physical deficits and recovery strategies. Additional duties include supporting discharge planning, advising on adaptive equipment, and connecting patients to community support resources. Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision are essential for success in this position.

Why join us

We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. In addition to your base compensation, this position also offers:

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Multiple levels of medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time and part-time employees.
  • Financial Protection & PTO: Life, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity insurance, short- and long-term disability, paid family leave, and paid time off.
  • Financial & Career Growth: Higher education and certification tuition assistance, loan assistance, and 401(k) retirement package and company match.
  • Employee Well-being: Mental, physical, and financial wellness programs (free gym memberships, virtual care appointments, mental health services, and discount programs).
  • Professional Development: Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities.

Applicants should have:

  • Associate's degree; graduate of a program in discipline required
  • Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
  • Rehab or acute care experience preferred
