Description:

Prime Home Health and Companion Care is seeking compassionate Companion/Homemakers to support elderly, disabled, and chronically ill clients in their own homes. As a member of our team, you’ll companion and homemaking services and emotional support to create a safe, clean environment for each client.

Client Location: Westfield, MA (potential for additional shifts with clients in nearby areas)

Shift Details: Saturdays and Sundays 4:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. (Additional shifts may be available in surrounding areas with other clients if interested.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal Care : Assist with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Emotional Support : Provide companionship and emotional encouragement, helping clients maintain a positive outlook.
  • Mobility Assistance : Aid clients with mobility using Hoyer lifts and Sit-to-Stand devices (experience preferred but not required).
  • Follow Care Plans : Work closely with nurses, therapists, and doctors to provide care as outlined in individual care plans.
  • Maintain Environment : Keep the home environment clean, safe, and supportive of each client’s needs.
  • Documentation : Accurately record patient care and report any changes in condition to the care team.

Requirements

  • Certification : Current PCA and Homemaking certification.
  • License : Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Experience : Prior experience working with elders is required.
  • Skills : Compassionate, reliable, patient, and committed to helping others.
