Accounts Payable Specialist

Join Our Finance Team as an Accounts Payable Specialist! Are you an analytical and detail-oriented financial professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing corporate accounting team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our vendor relationships and financial operations, ensuring that our transactions are processed smoothly within our ERP system.

salary: $25 - $30 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Review, code, and process vendor invoices within NetSuite efficiently and accurately.

• Accuracy Verification: Ensure vendor invoices are error-free and mapped to the appropriate general ledger accounts.

• Vendor Relations: Manage communications with vendors, resolve billing discrepancies, and respond to payment inquiries.

• Support & Resolution: Investigate billing questions to deliver timely and precise solutions to internal teams and stakeholders.

• Administrative Operations: Assist with various accounts payable duties and ad-hoc financial projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience.

• Software Skills: Proven track record using ERP systems, with a strong preference for NetSuite expertise.

• Environmental Fit: Prior experience working within a research, biotech, or laboratory setting is highly desirable.

• Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of project-based contracts, change orders, and invoicing, combined with strong problem-solving capabilities.

• Collaboration & Service: Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation and the ability to partner cross-functionally.

• Technical Aptitude: Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with a demonstrated ability to quickly master new software and systems.

• Work Style: Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously, and drive tasks from start to finish.
