The Braintree PD is actively accepting applications from qualified Entry Level, Academy Trained, and Lateral Transfer officers looking to join their team for the role of Police Officer.

The Braintree Police Department, a Civil Service agency, is aiming to recruit 50% of its new officers through getbadged. If you’re looking for a direct path into one of the state’s most respected departments, this is your change to make your move.

Entry Level applicants are required to receive a passing getbadged Entry Exam score of 70% and above. To register for your exam, visit getbadged conveniently offers 3 to 6 exams every month . Achieve a passing score and you can immediately apply for consideration.

If you are a FT Academy Trained POST Certified or Lateral Transfer Officer, you are NOT required to take the entry exam. Go to start your membership as a Certified/Lateral Transfer & apply today for immediate consideration.

All applicants MUST:

- Pass a thorough Background Investigation.

- Have the ability to obtain a License to Carry (LTC).

- Must be POST Certified & in good standing with the POST Commission (Academy & Lateral Transfer Only)

- Be a U.S. Citizen (Birth or Naturalizaiton).

- Possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.

- Pass the PAT fitness test .
