Boston Healthcare Job Details

• Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Locum Tenens
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Location: Boston, MA 02215 – Prime location for Massachusetts nursing jobs
• Facility Setting: Inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery – West Main Campus (may float to East or CVI OR as needed)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 3, 2026
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Options: Day shifts; 4x10 hour shifts (7:00am–5:30pm) or a mix of 2x12 hour (7:00am–7:30pm) and 2x8 hour (7:00am–3:30pm) shifts
• On-call: Up to 2 weekends/month (call or working shifts); short call shifts 1–2 times/week (3:00pm–7:00pm or 3:00am–7:00am)
• Orientation: Weekly (every Monday, except holidays)
• Parking: Available (daily cost may apply)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3000–$3080 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Proven experience in NEURO, ORTHO TRAUMA, and KIDNEY TRANSPLANT surgical procedures
• Ability to scrub and/or circulate in general surgery, robotics, transplants, ortho, neuro, spine, ENT (head & neck), GYN, urology, organ procurement, and trauma cases
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)
• No prior employment at Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm or per diem within the last six months
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients in a high-acuity OR environment
• Scrub and/or circulate for a diverse range of surgical procedures, including trauma, transplants, robotics, and specialty surgeries
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond to on-call and short call shifts as scheduled
• Float to other operating room units (East or CVI OR) as needed
• Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development for nursing staff
• Maintain compliance with hospital and healthcare regulatory policies
