New England Academy of Gymnastics is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Girls Development Program (DP) Compulsory Team Coach to join our competitive coaching staff. This is an exciting opportunity to coach motivated athletes in the USA Gymnastics Development Program Compulsory Levels (Levels 3–5), helping them develop strong fundamentals, confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of gymnastics.

Schedule

• Part-time
• Afternoon, evening, and weekend hours
• Flexible scheduling based on team practice schedule
• Additional hours may be available for competitions, clinics, camps, and special events

What You'll Do

• Coach Girls DP Compulsory Team athletes in accordance with USA Gymnastics Development Program guidelines.
• Teach proper technique and skill progressions on vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.
• Develop athletes' strength, flexibility, conditioning, body awareness, and confidence.
• Prepare gymnasts for competitions through consistent technical training and routine refinement.
• Create a positive, disciplined, and motivating training environment that encourages personal growth and teamwork.
• Provide individualized coaching and constructive feedback to help each athlete achieve their goals.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches to develop seasonal training plans and monitor athlete progress.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding athlete development, expectations, and competition readiness.
• Assist with meet preparation, in-house evaluations, and special team events.
• Ensure athlete safety by following proper spotting techniques, safety procedures, and academy policies.
• Maintain equipment and help create a clean, organized, and professional training environment.

Qualifications

• Previous competitive gymnastics coaching experience is required.
• Experience coaching USA Gymnastics Development Program Compulsory athletes (Levels 3–5) is highly preferred.
• Former competitive gymnast or strong gymnastics background preferred.
• USAG Professional Membership, SafeSport Training, and safety certifications are preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Positive, dependable, and professional attitude.
• Ability to motivate athletes while maintaining high standards for safety, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Comfortable spotting skills, demonstrating techniques, lifting equipment, and remaining physically active throughout practices.
