Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to support the maintenance and operation of environmental systems within a 24/7, cGMP-regulated manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure continuous and compliant operation of controlled environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including air handling units (AHUs), chillers, boilers, and cleanroom systems.

• Support the operation of temperature-controlled areas such as cold rooms and warm rooms, ensuring consistent environmental conditions.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with SOPs and maintenance schedules.

• Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and equipment documentation.

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including logs, calibration results, and service reports.

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with applicable safety procedures, environmental regulations, and cGMP standards.

• Utilize strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot system malfunctions and resolve issues efficiently.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and engineering, to support facility operations.

• Work independently with minimal supervision, while escalating issues appropriately when needed.

• Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to operational reliability and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience: 3+ years of HVAC/Refrigeration experience in a manufacturing or critical environment preferred; experience in a cGMP or FDA-regulated facility is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of cleanroom HVAC systems and critical environment controls is a plus.

• Proficiency with tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized maintenance systems (CMMS).

• Strong understanding of HVAC/refrigeration principles, troubleshooting techniques, and applicable codes.

• Excellent attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and adherence to safety practices.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical tasks in tight or elevated spaces.

• Must be able to work in hot/cold environments, cleanrooms, and mechanical spaces as required.
