Case Manager - Behavioral Health

Location: Lowell, MA

Pay: $28/hr

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8-4 with one 12-8 shift; rotating weekends

Assignment: 13 weeks, likely to extend

Overview

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking Case Managers to support adults with severe and persistent mental illness in a fast-paced, community-based psychiatric program. This role focuses on treatment planning, client support, and coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide case management and clinical support in the community

• Develop treatment plans and complete assessments

• Address goals in the IAP and help clients overcome barriers

• Teach life skills, support ADLs (non-physical), and assist with appointments, transportation, and coping strategies

• Maintain clear, timely documentation

• Average 7 client visits/day; caseload typically 5-8, with contact across a larger client pool

• Participate in a structured schedule with minimal downtime

Travel & Safety

• Frequent driving within a reasonable radius; occasional hospital visits outside the area

• Safety events are rare; strong team protocols and crisis support available

• Most environments are familiar; cleanliness is a more common issue than safety

What We're Looking For

• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills

• Ability to follow supervision and respond appropriately to risk situations

• Clear documentation style

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

• 1+ year experience with adults with severe mental illness

Training

• Approx. one week of shadowing, adjusted based on experience
