Note: The hourly rate for this position is $30 - $32 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Hours: Monday-Friday 40+ hours
- Perform selective demolition of existing apartment features to prepare for accessibility upgrades
- Complete wood framing for doorways, walls, and other structures in compliance with ADA requirements
- Install and adjust interior doors for proper swing and clearance
- Install baseboards, trim, and molding with precision and clean finish
- Install wire shelving in closets and storage areas
- Mount bathroom accessories such as grab bars, mirrors, towel holders, and other ADA-compliant fixtures
- Ensure all work meets building codes, ADA standards, and project specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with project managers, other trades, and site supervisors to complete tasks efficiently
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18+ years of age Proven experience as a commercial carpenter
- Proficiency in both rough and finish carpentry
- Knowledge of ADA compliance requirements preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable transportation and tools
- OSHA-10 certification preferred
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience in the commercial field required
- Prior experience using standard carpentry hand and power tools required
