- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,870–$2,950 per week
- Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel/Contract) – Ideal for nurses seeking flexible healthcare jobs in Massachusetts.
- Setting: Cancer Care Center, Clinic – Focused on oncology clinical trials and patient care.
- Start Date: September 1, 2025
- End Date: November 30, 2025
- Duration: 13-week contract
- Shifts per Week: 5 (Monday–Friday)
- Shift Duration: 8 hours per day (flexible start, earliest at 7am)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Hybrid Schedule: On-site with some remote flexibility based on patient scheduling
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- 3–5 years of clinical research nurse or oncology nursing experience preferred
- Chemo certification preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications; REDCap database experience a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and patient education skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient populations and provide culturally competent care
- Experience with grant writing, IRB submissions, data management, and study coordination is a plus
- Identify and recruit eligible patients for cancer clinical trials in collaboration with healthcare providers
- Conduct informed consent discussions and educate patients on clinical trial protocols
- Coordinate study enrollment, protocol treatment, and completion of study requirements for clinical trial participants
- Evaluate and monitor 4–6 patients per day, 4 days per week (16–24 patients weekly)
- Work closely with clinical research coordinators, regulatory teams, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure protocol compliance
- Provide protocol education to patients, families, and healthcare staff
- Order and monitor laboratory and radiographic assessments as required by study protocols
- Administer medications and document findings in accordance with clinical research standards
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with all research regulations and ethical standards
- Participate in professional development and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives in cancer care
