Job Title: RN Nursing Supervisor – Hospice

Location: East Sandwich, MA

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Pay Rate: $64 – $74/hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Nursing Supervisor to lead and support hospice care services. This role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting staff development within a hospice setting. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate hospice patient care services
• Supervise and support clinical staff, including LPNs and Hospice Aides
• Oversee program development, including staffing, education, and clinical practice implementation
• Assess staffing needs based on patient census and ensure optimal resource utilization
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
• Conduct staff performance evaluations and manage corrective actions as needed
• Monitor daily operations to meet state, federal, and accreditation standards
• Support staff orientation, training, and ongoing professional development
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain hospice care standards and policies
• Evaluate patient eligibility for General Inpatient (GIP) level of care
• Complete patient admissions, including documentation, physician orders, and care planning
• Develop and update individualized care plans based on patient assessments
• Manage patient symptoms and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure availability of medications, equipment, and necessary care services
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff, patients, and families
• Promote high levels of patient, family, and staff satisfaction through compassionate care

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Successful completion of pre-employment medication competency assessment
• Minimum of 2–4 years of supervisory experience in hospice, home health, or a related setting
• Strong leadership, organizational, and program management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency with healthcare systems and documentation software

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
• Previous leadership experience in hospice or home health settings
