Healthcare Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel Mammography Technologist (locum tenens)
• Location: On-site in Boston, MA (02118) – Massachusetts healthcare jobs
• Setting: Imaging Department – Breast Imaging Section
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour days (Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm)
• Schedule: Sonography on Mondays and Fridays; Mammography Tuesday–Thursday; No weekends, major holidays, or on-call
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $3030–$3110

Mammography Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography and breast ultrasound (at least 1 year required)
• Massachusetts State licenses in Radiography and Mammography
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M)
• Certification in Breast Ultrasound through ARDMS or ARRT (ARRT (BS) or RDMS (BR)); required within one year of hire
• Current BLS certification
• Up-to-date continuing education credits for all certifications held

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammography and breast ultrasound procedures
• Conduct ultrasound and mammographic-guided breast interventions and bone densitometry
• Collaborate with imaging staff, supervisors, and clinicians to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with departmental protocols
• Demonstrate initiative and professionalism in all interactions within the imaging department
