Post-Harvest Agent
Job Summary:
The Post-Harvest Agent is responsible for executing the key stages of cannabis post-harvest processing, including trimming, drying, curing, packaging, and inventory tracking. This role ensures product integrity, compliance with regulatory standards, and helps maintain the highest quality of flower and cannabis-derived products. Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to cleanliness and efficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Trim cannabis plants using both hand and machine methods, ensuring a high-quality, aesthetically pleasing product.
Monitor and manage drying rooms, ensuring proper environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow) for optimal curing.
Execute curing processes to preserve cannabinoid and terpene profiles.
Weigh, package, and label finished products in accordance with company SOPs and state regulations.
Maintain strict inventory control and documentation using seed-to-sale tracking systems (e.g., METRC or equivalent).
Sanitize tools, equipment, and work areas to prevent contamination and ensure regulatory compliance.
Identify and report product inconsistencies or quality control issues to supervisors.
Adhere to all company policies, standard operating procedures, and state/local cannabis regulations.
Assist in other cultivation or facility operations as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Strong knowledge of post-harvest cannabis handling best practices and quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency.
- Basic computer literacy and experience (experience with inventory tracking software a plus)
Preferred:
- 1+ year of experience in a cannabis production or agricultural setting preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the cannabis industry or a related field..
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in a highly regulated environment that requires strict adherence to policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work in environments with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity for extended periods.
- May involve lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
