As we grow our leadership in home robotics, we're seeking a Lead Product Developer – Tech to define and drive the next generation of SharkNinja Robots. This role is for a seasoned product leader who thrives in complex cross-functional environments and is passionate about shaping the future of smart home automation.
Role Overview
As a Lead Product Developer – Tech , you will act as the strategic owner of major robot platforms—guiding product definition, influencing long-term roadmap decisions, and leading cross-functional teams from concept through launch. You will partner closely with engineering, software, UX, quality, and commercial teams to ensure our robots deliver exceptional performance and consumer delight.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the strategic robot product roadmap, technical requirements, and platform direction.
- Lead the definition of product specifications, balancing consumer insights, business needs, and technical feasibility.
- Partner with engineering and software teams to integrate advanced technologies (SLAM, AI/ML, perception, connectivity).
- Steer cross-functional execution from early prototypes to mass production, resolving technical challenges and aligning teams.
- Lead competitive benchmarking and identify opportunities to differentiate on performance and user experience.
- Oversee legacy product performance and use field data to drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Quality and Test teams to define robot validation strategies and analyze performance data.
- Manage technical project timelines, risks, and priorities across multiple programs.
- Lead technical engagement with external suppliers and technology partners.
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years in product development, robotics, hardware/software engineering, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related discipline.
- Deep knowledge of robotics systems (navigation, perception, embedded systems, connectivity).
- Demonstrated success launching complex consumer products in cross-functional environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs, influence without authority, and deliver consumer-first experiences.
- Adaptable, transparent, and eager to learn and iterate quickly.
