Cybersecurity Analyst
Careerscape is supporting the recruitment of a Remote Cybersecurity Analyst for a rapidly growing cybersecurity and IT security services organization. This role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who are passionate about protecting digital infrastructure, detecting threats, and responding to security incidents in real time.
The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for monitoring security systems, investigating alerts, analyzing logs, and supporting incident response activities across enterprise environments. This position provides hands-on exposure to real-world cyber threats, security operations center (SOC) workflows, and enterprise defense strategies.
Candidates with interest or background in Cybersecurity, SOC Operations, Information Security, Network Defense, Ethical Hacking, Threat Analysis, or IT Security Support are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security dashboards, SIEM platforms, and alerting systems for potential threats
- Investigate suspicious activity, security alerts, and potential breaches
- Analyze logs from endpoints, networks, servers, and cloud environments
- Support incident response activities including containment, analysis, and reporting
- Identify phishing attempts, malware infections, and unauthorized access attempts
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and risk identification processes
- Document security incidents, findings, and remediation actions
- Work with firewalls, endpoint detection tools, and intrusion detection systems
- Collaborate with engineers and security teams to improve system defenses
- Participate in security investigations and post-incident reviews
- Maintain accurate records of security events and technical findings
- Support compliance-related security checks and audits
- Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker techniques
- Use tools such as SIEM platforms, Excel, and security monitoring software
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- 0–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT support, network security, or SOC environments preferred
- Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge or internships are welcome
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs,
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and threat detection methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Comfortable handling time-sensitive security incidents
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in analysis
- Willingness to learn security tools, frameworks, and technologies quickly
