Special Education Teacher (Elementary School)
Position: Elementary School Special Education Teacher
Location: Hyde Park, MA
Start Date: 20252026 School Year
An elementary school in Hyde Park is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). This role involves providing inclusion support within general education classrooms and direct instruction when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and inclusion support for students with IEPs
- Manage special education programming, documentation, and compliance
- Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Participate in coaching, professional development, and school initiatives
- Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for all students
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- At least 2 years of full-time teaching experience (urban setting preferred)
- Valid or eligible Massachusetts Special Education license (within one year of hire)
- Strong belief in student potential and commitment to continuous growth
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
