Cost Accountant
Kforce has a client in Woburn, MA that is seeking a Cost Accountant. Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis: Review and process standard cost updates on a weekly and monthly basis
- Budget Management: Monitor and analyze monthly budget vs. actual performance; provide financial insights and recommendations
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports for inventory trends, variance analysis, headcount, fixed assets, sales margins, and allocations
- Journal Entries: Execute intercompany transactions, accruals, reclassifications, and other general ledger entries
- Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations for accruals, revenue, capital expenditures, accounts payable, and bank accounts
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Support leadership with custom reporting and financial analysis as needed
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion and OneStream
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
- Excellent communication skills to convey financial information clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
