Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Amherst, MA (2 days on-site, Mondays & Thursdays)

Compensation: $35/hr

Work Schedule: Full-time, business hours

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team in a fully remote, long-term contract capacity. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting the month-end close process, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting within a growing, multi-entity environment. The role will partner closely with accounting and operational teams across the organization and offers strong exposure to corporate accounting processes within a dynamic global business.

This opportunity is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is looking to build a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and month-end close while gaining exposure to a collaborative, fast-paced environment with multiple entities, systems, and reporting structures.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support intercompany transactions and ensure proper recording
• Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules and supporting analysis
• Partner with internal teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Support internal and external audit requests and documentation needs
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation
• Utilize ERP systems and Excel to manage, analyze, and reconcile financial data
• Support a collaborative accounting environment operating across multiple entities and systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2+ years of full time working accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP principles
• Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar preferred
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines and priorities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
