Hours: 8:30-5:00pm
Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
Reporting to the Administrative Director and Physician and supervised by the Practice Manager. The Breast Health Patient Navigator-Surgical Scheduler is responsible for coordinating all aspects of breast health patient care. Assists the physicians and Mid-Level providers as needed. Assures Patient Experience protocols are followed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience working as a navigator or surgical scheduler in a clinical setting
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant/Secretary program preferred
- Skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and moderate keyboarding is required. Knowledge of EPIC and Meditech electronic medical records preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented with strong ability to multi-task required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
- Knowledge of patient billing, prior authorizations, account processes, third party billing and revenue cycle preferred.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information required
