At Sanctuary Medicinals, our Security does a lot more than watch the door. They help run the front of the store, create a welcoming atmosphere, and keep both customers and staff safe while the dispensary stays moving at full speed.

As part of the opening team for Sanctuary Saugus, you will help build the energy, culture, and customer experience from day one. You are the first impression customers get when they walk in and the person the team looks to when things get busy.

This role is perfect for someone who can stay calm under pressure, lead with confidence, keep things organized, and still crack a smile during a hectic Saturday rush.

Opening a new dispensary is exciting, unpredictable, fast-moving, and honestly a lot of fun. As Security, you will help shape the atmosphere customers experience the second they walk through the door while leading a team that keeps everything running safely and smoothly.

You will not just be watching the floor. You will be part of building the culture, leading the energy of the lobby, and helping launch one of the most exciting new retail teams in Massachusetts cannabis.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Security Operations

· Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and overall activity

· Perform customer ID verification and intake procedures

· Ensure only authorized customers and visitors enter the facility

· Help maintain strong security awareness while still creating a welcoming environment

· Perform required security audits and compliance checks

· Respond quickly and professionally to situations requiring security intervention

· Assist with crowd flow and customer traffic during high-volume periods

· Work closely with management and local emergency services when needed

· Help prevent on-site consumption, diversion, or unauthorized activity

Team & Store Support

· Lead by example with professionalism, reliability, and positive energy

· Keep communication clear between front desk staff, security, and management

· Maintain accurate incident reporting and documentation when needed

Education & Experience

· Must be 21 years of age or older

· High School Diploma or equivalent required

· Must pass all required background checks

· Previous security, retail leadership, hospitality, or cannabis experience preferred

· Experience leading teams or managing operations is a plus

· Dispensary or high-volume retail experience strongly preferred

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Comfortable working in active, fast-paced environments throughout the shift

Additional Employment Information

This position may require nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Schedules and job duties may change at any time to support business operations.
