Hendler Family Brewing Company is reopening its newly renovated taproom at Patriot Place , and we're gearing up for an exciting next chapter. The refreshed space is bigger and better, built to give guests more room to relax, enjoy great beer, and dig into something delicious. We're launching a full kitchen program alongside the reopening a menu built around elevated New England classics and we're looking for the right people to help bring it to life. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape something new, in a space that's growing, and with a team that genuinely cares about doing things well.
HFBC brews will be pouring, the kitchen will be firing, and we need good people to make it all happen. As a Taproom Host , youll be the first point of contact for our guests in our newly upgraded space. Youll warmly welcome guests, manage reservations and waitlists using Toast Tables, and set the tone for a smooth, enjoyable taproom experience. This role is multitasking at its finest in addition to hosting, youll help support the taproom by running food, bussing tables, and stepping in wherever needed to keep service flowing and energy high.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Customer Service and Guest Experience
- Greet guests warmly and create an inviting first impression.
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments using Toast Tables.
- Communicate accurate wait times and assist with guest inquiries.
- Guide guests through the taproom experience with a friendly, knowledgeable approach.
- Maintain a professional, upbeat, and guest-focused demeanor at all times.
- Oversee guest flow to ensure efficient seating and optimal table turnover.
Provide menus, highlight specials, and communicate any service delays or updates. - Coordinate with servers and bartenders to support seamless service.
- Assist with takeout order handoff and guest check-ins as needed.
- Run food to tables promptly and accurately.
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
- Support servers by refilling waters, delivering condiments, checking on tables, and helping where needed.
- Assist with keeping dish drop areas organized and efficient.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in guest-facing areas, including entryways, host stand, and dining areas.
- Regularly sanitize high-touch points such as menus, host stand, and door handles.
- Keep menus, supplies, and host materials stocked and organized.
- Support taproom cleanliness by bussing, wiping down tables, and resetting spaces quickly.
- Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, runners, and managers to ensure seamless service flow.
- Support taproom operations during high-volume times, events, and festivals.
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and guest coordination.
- Participate in team meetings, tastings, and brewery education sessions.
- Perform additional duties or responsibilities as needed to support the taproom and ensure a great guest experience.
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking ability and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
Takes pride in punctuality, professionalism, and teamwork. - Strong team player with a willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Available for days, nights, and weekend shift; Saturday and/or Sunday availability required.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 4050 lbs., and comfortably bend, reach, and twist.
- Willingness to continuously learn about our beer offerings and the craft beer industry (previous craft beer knowledge a plus!)
- Knowledge of Toast Tables, Toast POS, or similar reservation/seating software is a plus.
- TIPs certification a plus (not required for all hosting duties but beneficial).
