About The Role As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You’ll Do Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems. Conduct building walk-arounds to develop a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio buildings their layouts, functions and complexities Investigate faults, identify causes and effect remedies Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion. Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently. Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner. Ensure corrective / repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail. High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5+ years of hands-on experience working in a fast-paced multi-facility corporate environment. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stoping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads in compliance with the rules defined by the applicable H&S regulation. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Good customer relationship skills Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset A skilled understanding of the proper use of common hand tools A good understanding of the use of specialized tools and test equipment A good understanding in the use of computer tools such as productivity software, BMS systems, e-mail, and databases Documented proof of some basic technical training in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing concepts from an approved accredited institution or a union apprenticeship school Ability to adapt and learn quickly, work autonomously, approach tasks with a sense of urgency, and address any issues that arise during business hours. Massachusetts Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $43,500 annually, and the maximum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $59,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
