Associate Solution Developer

Our Data & Analytics team is currently seeking an Associate Solution Developer in our Worcester, MA location. This is a full time, exempt role. POSITION OVERVIEW: In this role, the Solution Developer will work on the Solutions teama small group of close-knit, passionate, and highly innovative software engineers. We collaborate with business partners from Hanover's various business departments to design, develop, maintain, and enhance web applications built on the latest technology stack: Angular, React, Node.js, and MongoDB. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: - Develop Single Page Applications (SPA) using Angular 17/+ under the supervision of senior developers.
- Be responsible for the full development life cycle including the analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of web applications.
- As a full stack developer, be responsible for the front end (Angular), back end (Node.js) and database operations (MongoDB, SQL).
- Analyze business requirements; recommend design patterns.
- Maintain software; troubleshoot production problems.
- Enhance software applications with additional features regularly.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY: - A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Proficiency with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript is a must.
- Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript is strongly desired.
- Prior experiences with Angular, React, or Node.js are strongly desired.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic front end web development is a plus.
- Experiences with any of the following is a plus:
- Visual Studio Code
- Git
- Linux OS + bash
- SQL, MongoDB
- Microsoft Azure DevOps & app services
- Docker
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Attention to details.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- As an entry-level role, prior work experience is not required.
- No insurance knowledge required.
