Yard Customer Service Representative (Drive-Thru Lumber Yard)
Schedule: Full-Time | Some Saturdays Required (7AM-12)
Pay: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience)
About the Role
Koopman Lumber is hiring a Yard Customer Service Representative to support our drive-thru lumber yard. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll assist customers, pull orders, and help keep the yard running safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Greet customers and assist them with orders in the yard
- Pull, stage, and load materials accurately and safely
- Operate forklifts and yard equipment (training provided)
- Load customer vehicles and delivery trucks
- Receive and put away incoming materials
- Process returns and ensure materials are handled correctly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone

What You Bring
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic math skills and ability to read orders
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a lumber yard, warehouse, or building materials environment
- Forklift experience (or willingness to become certified)
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly (heavier with assistance)
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and stay active throughout the day
Compensation details: 17-20 Hourly Wage
