Product Owner

Summary
A Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog to deliver high-value software solutions. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring that products meet user needs, align with business goals, and are delivered efficiently using agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders and business leaders.
- Gather and analyze requirements from business users, customers, and market research.
- Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog to maximize business value.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
- Define acceptance criteria and validate product features before release.
- Conduct user testing, gather feedback, and iterate on product features.
- Ensure alignment of product features with business goals, KPIs, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to agile best practices within the organization.
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in product ownership, product management, or agile project delivery.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development life cycles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and backlog items.
Preferred Skills / Duties
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello).
- Knowledge of UX/UI principles and software development processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and prioritizing competing demands.
- Ability to measure product success using metrics, KPIs, and user feedback.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, SaaS products, or enterprise applications is a plus
