Facility Maintenance Technician Aerospace-Manufacturing 2nd Shift
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing and facility systems to support safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This hands-on role supports production uptime by maintaining equipment reliability, performing routine inspections, and assisting with equipment installations and upgrades. Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment such as vacuum pumps, kilns, compressors, HVAC systems, and support utilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
- Inspect seals, gaskets, valves, and other components to ensure system integrity and compliance with quality standards.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and part usage in maintenance logs or ERP systems.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and support process improvements.
- Assist with facility upkeep, including lighting, compressed air, plumbing, and other utility systems.
- Support cross-functional logistics operations during staffing shortages, peak workloads, or business needs, including shipment coordination, receiving activities, material handling, and transportation of goods between departments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and support material ordering processes through routine inventory audits, stock replenishment, purchase request preparation, and completion of inventory control checklists. Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and chemical handling protocols.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
- Follow all PPE safety rules and policies such as wearing safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, lab coats, etc.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. export control laws (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply with applicable government regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- High school diploma or GED and technical or trade school certificate preferred.
- 3+ years of of maintenance or facilities experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience with additive manufacturing preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and maintenance scheduling.
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation systems, and vacuum or kiln systems a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic familiarity with ERP or maintenance software. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents in English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Sitting or standing long periods of time, may be required to lift up to 50 lbs; extended periods of time using a computer screen.
