Job Description:

The Material Mover will report to the Production Ops Manager and will primarily be responsible for moving raw and finished goods between our warehouse and production areas safely and efficiently. This is an on-site hourly position and requires a daily presence at our RectorSeal Fall River, MA facility. Additional work hours will be assigned during peak times and year-end.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit down Forklift and stand up reach trucks
• Use handheld scanner to move goods in the system from location to location
• Insure all inventory procedures are adhered to throughout daily work

Required PPE: Hearing protection, eye protection, other PPE as required

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma (or equivalent)
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution and or assembly facility
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs

Preferred Requirements

• Experience driving a forklift in a manufacturing setting is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft office such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams is a plus

Skills And Competencies

• Able to count accurately, use measurement tools, and perform basic math operations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
• Ability to be detail oriented and manage multiple tasks
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a team with limited supervision
• Excellent English and written communication skills

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
