Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team, in a full-time position. The right candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to excellence in patient care. Duties:

• Assist orthodontists during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
• Utilize dental clinic systems, including Epic, for patient management and documentation.
• Support the front desk as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant is required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, and infection control practices is essential.
• Familiarity with dental clinic systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are necessary for maintaining patient records and managing appointments.
• Certification in dental assisting.
