Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (Evening/Night Shift)

Location: Hyannis MA

Type: Contract

Shift: 36 hours per week rotating nights (7 PM7 AM); every other weekend and holiday coverage required

Travel Rate: $2389/week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Respiratory Therapist for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hyannis MA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas (ABG) draws sputum collection spirometry and capnography.
• Interpret ABG results and monitor patient respiratory status during intra- and inter-facility transport.
• Assist with conscious sedation intubations bronchoscopies and neonatal/pediatric respiratory care.
• Assess and maintain artificial airways manage tracheostomy tubes and perform suctioning as needed.
• Administer therapeutic gases such as oxygen Heliox and high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Utilize airway clearance devices and administer aerosolized or metered-dose medications.
• Provide monitor and troubleshoot non-invasive ventilation support.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds offering clinical respiratory expertise.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete daily charge reconciliation.
• Precept train and orient respiratory therapy students or staff as needed.
• Maintain respiratory therapy equipment supplies and inventory; participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• Active Massachusetts respiratory therapy license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of critical care respiratory experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
