Senior Logistics Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist to manage and optimize shipping, transportation, and inventory operations. This hands-on role ensures timely deliveries, compliance with regulations, and smooth logistics processes across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong understanding of domestic and international shipping, and can provide guidance to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and process all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and compliance paperwork.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Investigate and resolve shipping delays, damages, or non-conformances, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, customs, and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) shipping requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for shipping, tracking, and costs; support cycle counts and audits.
• Oversee custom crating, packaging, and special handling requirements.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and logistics data to management.
• Provide guidance and training to logistics staff and new team members.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to streamline operations.
• Support warehouse logistics, tooling tracking, and other operational functions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping or logistics operations, preferably in medical device manufacturing .
• Proficiency with ERP systems is required.
• Forklift experience required.
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and trade compliance.
• DOT and IATA certifications preferred.
• Experience handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) preferred.
