Position Title: HR Co-Op Department: HR
Reports To: HR Manager FLSA : non-exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Co-op to support our People Operations team. This role provides hands-on experience across core HR functions including onboarding, employee support, HR systems, compliance, and general administrative HR activities. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and interested in building a career in Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and system setup
- Assist with HRIS data entry and employee record maintenance (ADP or similar system)
- Help coordinate employee lifecycle activities (status changes, job updates, terminations)
- Respond to basic employee HR inquiries and escalate when needed
- Assist with benefits administration support (enrollment changes, eligibility tracking)
- Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements
- Support recruiting coordination (scheduling interviews, candidate communication)
- Assist with HR projects such as engagement initiatives, audits, and reporting
- Help prepare HR communications, templates, and internal documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed
- Exposure to full employee lifecycle processes
- Hands-on experience with HR systems and data management
- Understanding of compliance and employment regulations
- Experience supporting recruiting and employee engagement initiatives
- Mentorship from HR leadership/People Ops team
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, Business, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Comfortable learning new systems and tools quickly
- Prior internship or administrative experience is a plus but not required
