Job Title: Laboratory Donor Transfusion Supervisor

Location: Hyannis, MA

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | Monday–Friday (Day Shift) | Occasional evenings, weekends & holidays

Pay Rate: $69 – $79/hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and motivated Blood Bank & Transfusion Services Supervisor to lead and oversee all aspects of transfusion services and donor collection programs. This role ensures high-quality, compliant, and efficient blood bank operations while supporting patient care excellence and donor program growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Blood Bank and Transfusion Services to ensure quality patient care and regulatory compliance

• Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and guidelines

• Manage donor center operations including recruitment, retention, and expansion initiatives

• Drive blood collection efforts through outreach programs, mobile drives, and marketing strategies

• Supervise laboratory testing procedures such as blood typing, antibody screening, crossmatching, and serologic testing

• Ensure proper preparation, labeling, and distribution of blood products

• Maintain quality control, quality assurance, and equipment calibration standards

• Monitor accurate documentation and reporting of laboratory results

• Manage staff scheduling, workflow coordination, and daily operational planning

• Oversee inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance

• Train, supervise, and evaluate staff while providing technical guidance

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field

• ASCP, NCA, or equivalent certification required

• SBB certification preferred

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in blood bank or transfusion services

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance practices
