Remote Telehealth Hybrid Therapist (1099 Independent Contractor)
Eclectic-Mosaic Wellness, LLC
Location: Remote (Telehealth-first) | Hybrid/In-Person where appropriate
Role Type: Part-Time or Full-Time | 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation: 70/30 revenue split (clinician retains 70%)
About Eclectic-Mosaic Wellness
Eclectic-Mosaic Wellness provides inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive outpatient mental health care for adults (18+). We serve diverse communities, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and underserved populations.
Our practice is intentionally designed to support ethical care, clinician sustainability, and clear professional boundaries. We believe clinicians do their best work when systems are clear, time is protected, and expectations are humane.
The Role
We are seeking independently licensed clinicians to provide outpatient psychotherapy primarily via HIPAA-compliant telehealth. This is a 1099 contractor role with referrals provided, centralized scheduling support, billing and credentialing handled, and clearly defined policies that reduce ambiguity and burnout.
Clinical Services
- Individual psychotherapy for adults (18+)
- Couples therapy (optional)
- Adult family systems work (optional)
Caseload & Sustainability
- Minimum caseload: 8–10 sessions/week
- Full-time range: 22–26 sessions/week
- Sessions include a mix of 45- and 60-minute appointments based on clinical need and payer requirements.
Caseload expectations are designed to support clinical quality and longevity, not volume pressure.
Scheduling & Autonomy
You control your availability and caseload. Central scheduling supports placement and fit within your posted schedule.
How it works:
- Clients are placed only into open slots reflected in your availability.
- Busy blocks are respected and never overridden.
- Clients are added only when you request more or have an agreed target caseload.
- If a slot appears available, central scheduling may place a client there.
- Clinicians contact new clients within three (3) business days and reschedule as needed within that same timeframe.
You'll be trained at orientation to manage availability and Busy indicators clearly and efficiently.
Clinician Bio & Fit Alignment (Required)
Upon hire, clinicians submit a brief professional bio outlining specialties, populations served, and clinical focus areas. This information is used intentionally to prioritize client–clinician fit, not random placement.
Compensation & Pay Transparency
- 70/30 split (clinician retains 70%)
- Collected revenue includes insurance payments plus patient responsibility actually collected.
- Biweekly pay
- No deductions before the split
Estimated take-home is based on contracted allowed amounts. Actual earnings vary by payer mix, client benefits, and collections.
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
- 24-hour cancellation window
- Standard fee: $119
- Clinicians are paid 70% of fees actually collected
Clinical Scope & Safety
This is an outpatient practice and not a crisis or higher level of care provider.
We do not accept clients requiring:
- Imminent risk management
- Active psychosis
- Detox-level substance use treatment
Post-hospitalization clients may be accepted only with documented stabilization and appropriate step-down care completed.
Clients are directed to 988, 911, or local crisis resources for urgent needs.
Support for High-Acuity & Mandated Reporting
- Standardized workflows and EHR templates are provided.
- Clinicians are not expected to manage complex reporting or law enforcement communication alone.
- Leadership consultation is available for high-risk or complex situations.
Documentation & Clinical Standards
- Notes due within 72 hours (48 hours recommended)
- Measurement-based care tools are at clinician discretion
- High-risk cases are brought promptly for consultation
Team Culture & Support
- Monthly virtual case conference (required)
- Optional consultation encouraged
- Morale committees support connection and sustainability in a remote setting; clinicians participate periodically to maintain a healthy team culture.
Tools & Infrastructure
- HIPAA-compliant EHR and intake systems provided
- Credentialing and billing handled
- Orientation includes documentation standards, mandated reporting workflows, and agency-boundary training
- Reliable internet and private workspace required
Qualifications
- Independent licensure (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LPC, or equivalent)
- Licensed in the state(s) where clients are located
- Experience with culturally responsive, affirming adult care
- Trauma-informed orientation
- Active malpractice insurance ($1M/$3M)
- Background check clearance
Commitment
- Minimum commitment: 6 months
Time Off & Caseload Pauses
We recognize clinicians are human. Planned time off should be communicated early; unplanned absences as soon as feasible. Caseload pauses are coordinated with central office to protect continuity of care without micromanagement.
