Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Location: Falmouth, MA

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Pay Rate: $68–$78 per hour

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care setting. This role is responsible for coordinating total nursing care, participating in patient and family education, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices

• Safely administer medications, including cardiac medications, and monitor patient responses

• Independently perform phlebotomy and manage IV therapy

• Provide care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, chest drainage devices, epidural analgesia, orthopedic care, and post-operative management

• Assess and manage patient pain and respond effectively to urgent or emergent situations

• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and care plans

• Apply chemical and physical restraints in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards

• Accurately document patient care and outcomes in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

• Address age-specific needs for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations

• Identify and report suspected neglect or abuse in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team

• Maintain all required licenses, certifications, and competencies for assigned duties

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license

• BLS certification required

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy and IV therapy

• Completion of a Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module

• Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Examination

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
