What You'll Do

As an Assembly Technician, you'll play a key role in the manufacturing and quality of highly specialized aerospace components. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling advanced thruster and propellant systems using detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Performing precision mechanical assembly in a controlled clean room environment.
  • Working under microscopes to build and inspect intricate, high-precision components.
  • Applying epoxies and adhesives while following strict process and quality standards.
  • Performing soldering activities as needed to support assembly and integration.
  • Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure exceptional quality, cleanliness, and performance.
  • Identifying and reporting defects, discrepancies, or process improvements.
  • Collaborating closely with engineers, technicians, and team members to meet production goals.
  • Maintaining accurate production and quality records.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by sharing ideas that improve efficiency, quality, and workflow.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of assembly experience in manufacturing, production, aerospace, medical device, electronics, or a similar technical environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools and assembly equipment.
  • Ability to perform detailed work under a microscope for extended periods.
  • Experience working with epoxies, adhesives, or similar materials in a production setting.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and precision.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, engineering drawings, and work instructions accurately.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Clean room manufacturing experience.
  • Previous microscope assembly experience.
  • Soldering experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace, electronics, medical device, or other high-precision manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working within small, collaborative teams.

Work Environment

This position is based in a clean room manufacturing environment where quality and precision are essential. You'll work alongside a small, collaborative team and use specialized equipment including microscopes, hand tools, epoxies, and soldering equipment. Appropriate clean room attire and protective equipment will be provided and required as part of daily operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
